Policies

The cost per dinner event is $20. You are responsible for your own meal and beverages. Arrangements will be made with the restaurant to provide you with an individual bill.

There will be a chance before dinner to meet and mingle with the other attending members. Our representative will be with the group during this time, share a round of drinks and then will make his or her exit as the dinner starts.

We will send you a link to our payment page once you have been selected to attend an event. Payments are made through Pay-pal using Visa or MasterCard.

We usually try to meet in the venue bar at 7:30 p.m. for a drink before dinner. Reservations for dinner usually start at 8:00 p.m. These times will be venue will be sent with your confirmation.

Restaurants are 4 and 5 stars like Campanile, Meson G, JAR,  and The Little Door. Suggestions are always welcome.

If you  request to attend an event and wasn't  selected it is because in order to form the most compatible group possible, we must seat members in groups of eight according to gender, availability, and other common factors. Eight on a Date would not want to seat you at an event that would not be enjoyable for you! We match dinner parties according to the interests that you indicated in your member profile. Although we attempt to meet everyone's needs, space is limited.

We put together our events based on age and the interests you provide in your profile. Don't expect a completely homogenous group, however?we will try to structure a diverse group with complimentary interests that will give you all something to discuss.

On the day of the dinner your Eight on a Date  host/hostess greet you  and will direct you to your dinner partys.

Dress like you would for a first date. 
You pay for your own meal so you can have the freedom to order as much or as little as you would like. We pick restaurants with a range of items on the menu. Meals typically average between $30 - $50, excluding alcohol purchases.

We know how hard it can be to divide the bill at the end of the night, so we have pre-arranged to have the restaurant provide individual check for each person.

You may request as many dinner dates as your schedule will allow.

Blackweekly.com's Eight on a Date is NOT a dating service.  Our main goal is to introduce you to other singles of similar interests, and ages. We do not attempt to create specific matches.

Cancellation/Refund policy
Due to the fact that we need 8 people to attend an event and confirmations need to be made with restaurants or other venues, cancellation requires 5 business days prior to the event and a credit will remain on your eight on a date account for the full amount. Otherwise you will forfeit your event fee.

We do not give out personal information to other dinners. We only use first name for introductions, It is your choice to exchange e-mail or phone numbers at the dinner or event.

While we make every effort to ensure you dine with 7 others, there are times members may either cancel or fail to show up for an event. Eight on a date will provide 1 credit towards a future event to members who have fewer than 6 guest show up.

We find that singles who approach their dinner/event with an open mind have the best time. Be friendly and don?t go with an agenda other than to have fun meeting some new people. Leave expectations and your "checklist" at home.  (smile)
