The April edition of The Flypoet Spoken Word & Music Showcase is bursting with talent! This month we're featuring Amanda Dumas (back by popular demand!), Sy Smith (of solo & STAR69 fame), Rain Denise Wilson (a serious fire breather all the way from Chicago), and GhettoSpeare (spoken word's version of Cedric the Entertainer - don't be mad Ron!). Also, current National Poetry Slam Individual Champion, Mike McGee is flying in to see what this "Flypoet thing" is all about!
There's plenty going on after the show as we can either stroll down the hall and dance into the night with DJ Brutha Gimel or stay in the main room to check out a hot show by a great up and coming band (for real!) called The Circle (they're a very tight group with, in my own words, a fantastic blend of soul and rock). Those of you who have other engagements can still come party with us after the show with no cover! As a matter of fact the lounge area is open all night after 7pm for drinks and appetizers with no cover charge.
Don't forget, the show will start on time (three minutes after 8pm), end on time (before 10:30), and the cover is still only $10!
