Taking charge of your life

Once again, it's is the new year. Time for resolutions that will soon be broken. But why do we break them? If we take the time to write down our goals and verbally commit to them, why is it ok not to maintain their integrity?

Let's start off this year with a commitment to take charge of our lives. Begin to take charge of your life with goal setting. You can take a few simple steps each day to stay focused on your goals.

  1. 1. write down your overall goals
  2. 2. make a list of activities that support your achieving your goals
  3. 3. make a list of rewards for achieving your goals
  4. 4. put tally marks next to your goals each time you read them. This will let you know that you are keeping them uppermost in your mind.

What type of goals are important to keep? That's up to you. I would suggest you have goals in the following areas:

  • Your spiritual commitment, whether praying, meditating, attending church, bible study, daily practice of unconditional love and avoiding selfish acts and words.

  • Your commitment to your family, such as your mate, your parents, your siblings and relatives.

  • Your commitment to your personal endeavors such as dating, exercise, social activities, wardrobe, personal grooming, private time such as a spa or a home facial or bubble bath.

  • Your financial stability such as business endeavors, raises on the job, business networks, financial planning and insurance needs. You may also want to join an investment club and/or commit to reading books watching videos or taking classes in this area.

If you are single, here's a good goal to work on - meeting Mr. or Ms. right person.

Make a list of the characteristics you are looking for in Mr. or Ms. Right.

For example: fun-loving, positive person with a great smile, who respects me, my family and my lifestyle. A loving, giving individual who likes to dance as well as snuggle after the act. Knowing a little something about art and attending plays would be nice. Oh yeah, home cooking ability is a bonus.

Ok. Now, what are YOU doing to be the type of person you want to attract? This is the time of year for you to look at who you want in your life and ask yourself what you bring to the table. If you are not willing to make the extra effort to be fun-loving and interesting, then chances are, you will not attract this type of person. Maybe you can take a cooking class and learn to be a better cook.

If you want your new honey to be a romantic, sensual person, start now to become that person. You deserve to be a better person and attract the same. Take charge of your life!
